Judy Burns: Friendly Franklin Dental Team Member

Judy Burns may not be the first person you meet at Aspen Grove Dental, but she is invariably the last person you speak to as you check out. To say that Judy and Aspen Grove Dental share a long history is probably an understatement. When Dr. Joe Trammell started his practice, Judy was one of his first hires. But even before that, Dr. Joe and Judy were co-workers at another practice where Judy was his first hygienist when he was fresh out of dental school!

More than a smiling face at the check-out desk, Judy really knows dentistry. Before being a hygienist she was a dental assistant. In fact, beginning as a Junior in high school working after school for her family dentist to the present day, Judy has spent her entire career working in dentistry.

So, with her many years of experience, what is it she thinks differentiates Aspen Grove Dental from other practices? “The quality of care and clinical proficiency of both Dr. Trammell and Dr. Hutchison.” Then, she adds, “They really care about people, and I think the patients feel that.”

That certainly seems to be the case, because Judy also shared that Aspen Grove Dental has clients that travel some distance — from all over Tennessee and other states, as well — because of the quality dental care and personal relationships they have found here in Franklin, Tennessee. “We have one patient that commutes from Arizona!"

Judy’s favorite thing about working for Aspen Grove Dental is the family atmosphere. “Many of us have worked together for a long time. We’ve shared weddings, graduations, the birth of children and grandchildren. And that goes for our clients as well. This really is a family dentistry office.”

Growing up on a farm in West Tennessee, to this day Judy still loves the smell of hay and to be around animals, especially horses. But her very favorite activity away from the office is to spend time with her six-year-old granddaughter, Mary-Townes. ”I just can’t get enough of that little girl!”
