Get out and explore. Plan day trips and adventures to get to know the beauty of Tennessee. From State and City parks to Farmers Markets and Festivals, discover nature and meet new people.

Go to the library. Look into memberships at the zoo or the science or art museum; as your child grows, these places are ones you can return to again and again, for different events and classes.

Try new things, try to reserve judgment, and be patient. Finding the people you want to be with and the things you enjoy doing with your children — especially as they grow — takes some time, but it is worth the effort!
